Lewiston – Hobart K. Cole Sr., 78, of Oxford, died Saturday, Dec. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born in Augusta, on Dec. 3, 1929, the son of Frank W. and Muriel (Heath) Cole.

He had worked for many years as a trailer truck driver for Mutrie Transport. In later years, he had worked for his son in Oxford, at Coles New England Tank. He was a member of Oxford Grange 46, Redman Tribe 54, of Wakefield, Mass., and as a hobby he enjoyed his artist work.

He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret (Marena) Cole of Oxford; a son, Hobart K. Cole Jr. of Wakefield, Mass.; a daughter, Marie and husband, Gary, Cerretani of North Reading, Mass.; and a son, William Cole and his wife, Sandy, of Otisfield; a brother, Robert Cole and his wife, Pauline, of Farmington; and five grandchildren, Ingrid, Gianni, Vincent, Jonathan and Natasha.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank W. Cole Jr.
