VERNON, Conn. – Joseph H. L. Vallee, 86, of Vernon, Conn., formerly of Manchester, Conn., died unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 21, at home.

He was born May 10, 1921, in St. Victor, Canada, son of the late Alfred and Marie-Anne (Doyon) Vallee, and had resided in Manchester until moving to Vernon in 1979. Joe was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed for over 30 years with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, retiring as a foreman. He was very active with the Manchester Senior Citizens. He was an avid bocce and pool player and enjoyed playing with his many friends at the senior center. He was a member of the Army and Navy Club of Manchester.

He is survived by three daughters. Judy Bolduc of South Paris, Linda Vallee of Poland and Nancy Spaulding and her husband, David, of South Paris; two grandchildren, Michelle Belanger and Melanie Bolduc; a great grandson, Ceilum Madden; three sisters, Cecile Doody, Blanche Thibault and Peggy Beaule Washburn, all of Arizona; his dear friend, Elaine Kollet of Storrs, Conn.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Adrian Hinkley.
