YORK – Francis Eugene Howe, 87, of Brookside Circle, Ogunquit, died early Monday, Dec. 24, at York Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Greene. He was a former trust officer for Shawmut Bank in Boston, first retiring in 1976. After moving to Cape Cod, he came out of retirement and worked for the 1st National Bank of Cape Cod, retiring for the final time in 1987.

Survived by his wife Patricia; sons, Steven and Douglas; and brother, David.
