MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Jeanette Marie Gilroy, 74, of 180 Bailey Road, Middletown, Conn., passed away Saturday night, Dec. 22, at Middlesex Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 1, 1933, the daughter of Rene and Juliette Hamel (Parent). She raised two children, Patrick of New York City, and Sabrina Heffter of Colorado Springs.

Besides her children she is survived by her brother, Robert; and six grandchildren, Kate and Amara Heffter and Rachel, Nathan, Jeremy and Hannah Gilroy.

She was dearly loved by all and will be sorely missed. Her yearly vacations at Old Orchard Beach have served as a family reunion for 20 years and will continue in her memory.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, John.
