LEWISTON – Patricia A. Dupere (Lagasse), 67, of Auburn, died Monday, Dec. 24, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after being diagnosed with small cell (lung cancer) in May. She struggled to the end.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 1, 1940. She was the loving mother of seven children, 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She adopted a grandchild, Patricia Dupere, and dedicated her time and life to her granddaughter from birth to seven years old. She was spunky, outgoing and full of life.

Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Higgins and husband, Ricky Higgins of Bridgton, Tammy Cronk of Lewiston, Melvin Lagasse Jr. of New York City, Brian Lagasse of Auburn, Tina Lagasse of Auburn, Michael Lagasse of Warren and Cindy Ali of Auburn; a sister, Paula Coulombe of Sabattus; and her mother, Arline Poussard of Brunswick.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Dupere.

She will be sadly missed.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Clover Manor, where she resided. Also, a special thank you to Bert and Starr Cleaves from Tennessee, and Funeral Alternatives for the pick-up of their mother’s body on Christmas day.
