LEWISTON – Phillip John Ebner 70, of 11 Goddard St., Lisbon Falls, died shortly after arrival at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center on Monday, Dec. 24.
Born in Mount Angel, Ore., July 24, 1937 a son of Raymond and Bernadette Lux Ebner. He graduated from Mt. Angel Prep High School in 1955. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served two tours of duty in Vietnam, retiring in 1975 after 20 years of service. He then worked at Masonite Corp. as a boiler operator for 23 years retiring in 1999.
Mr. Ebner was a member of Holy Trinity Parish of Lisbon Falls and enjoyed bowling, walking and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He will be remembered for his kindness and desire to help others.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Juliette R. Larochelle of Lisbon Falls, whom he married Dec. 19, 1964; four sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Dorene of Lewiston, Paul and Rebecca of Waldorf, Md., Patrick and Regina of Lisbon Falls, and Phillip Jacob of Lisbon Falls; his grandchildren, Juliette, Garth, Joseph, Zachary, Jacob and Emma Ebner; a sister, Mary Anne Perreira of Vancouver, Wash.; five brothers, Richard of Marina, Calif., Robert and wife, Patricia, of Keizer, Ore., Lawrence of Yakima, Wash., William and wife, Pam, of Nyssa Ore., and Paul and wife, Sawalk, of Beaverton, Ore.
