Note – The television schedule for Sunday afternoon’s 1 p.m. games had not been announced at press time.
Saturday
Patriots at Giants
8:15 p.m., CBS, NBC and NFL Network
This is the only NFL game to be simulcast since the first Super Bowl was shown on both CBS and NBC. Yet everyone with a camera and an FCC license shows the Tournament of Roses Parade. Does this mean the Patriots are going to enter Giants Stadium on a float of a video camera?
Sunday
Chargers at Raiders
4:15 p.m., CBS
The Chargers are playing for the No. 3 seed in the AFC. Oakland is playing for what, exactly? To keep the bankers from foreclosing on Ol’ Man Davis’ house?
Titans at Colts
8:15 p.m., NBC
The fate of the Titans’ and Browns’ playoff hopes rests in the hands of Jim Sorgi.
