BOSCAWEN, N.H. – Winifred M. Shattuck, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen.
Born in New London, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mabel (French) Chadwick.
She was a member of the Raymond Baptist Church and a member of Senior Citizens of Raymond. Mrs. Shattuck loved to play Bingo, knit and crochet, and jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved gardening and long walks and enjoyed corresponding with her family.
Survivors include her stepmother, Marion Chadwick of Marlow, N.H.; five sons, Richard Ingalls of Waterville, Allen A. Shattuck of Lewiston, Edward G. Shattuck Jr. of Hooksett, N.H., Albert C. Shattuck Sr. of Salisbury, N.H., and Timothy M. Shattuck of Raymond; four daughters, Peggy A. Ames of Bow, N.H., Nina R. Gillcash of Dexter, N.Y., Nancy M. Blidberg of Wilton, and Judy L. Mason of Texas; two sisters, Mabel Newhall of Orlando, Fla., and Gerie Howard of Deerfield, N.H.; 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward G. Shattuck Sr. in 1983; one son, Jack H. Shattuck Sr. in 2004; one grandson, Dana Ames Jr. in 2007; three brothers, Allen Chadwick Sr. in 2003, and Paul Chadwick and George Chadwick; and one sister, Carol Noyes.
