A Lewiston city truck – known as the Blue Goose – rolled into the brook behind the Randall Road Pumping Station Thursday afternoon. Lewiston Public Services Deputy Director Kevin Gagne said city employees Nate Landry and Matt Pelletier were operating the truck’s vacuum unit, sucking grit out of sewer pipes at the station, when the truck malfunctioned and rolled into the water. Lewiston Public Services Director David Jones said the riverbank is not frozen, and the soft ground may have cushioned the truck. No fuel leaked from the truck, which was removed from the water by 3 p.m.
