TEMPLE – A Temple man faces a felony marijuana trafficking charge after police responded to his home Saturday for a domestic disturbance.

Approximately two pounds of marijuana was found at the Temple Road residence of Daniel S. Williams, 44, after police smelled marijuana and received permission to search the house.

Sheriff’s Cpl. Stephen Charles and Deputy Chris Chase, along with K9 Jack, a certified drug detection dog, found prepackaged marijuana, said Lt. Niles Yeaton of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Yeaton this week estimated the value of the marijuana between $3,000 and $4,000.

Police issued Williams a summons on a charge of trafficking in unlawful drugs, Yeaton said.
