Juanita Crafts, a member of the Country Square Quilters of North Jay/Wilton, has been donating small baby quilts to the Family Birth Center at Maine Medical Center, Portland, for the past three years. She started making the quilts for the neonatal unit there after she lost an infant grandson due to complications from a premature birth. The quilts are given to parents who have had severe problems with the birth of a baby or have lost an infant shortly after birth. Pictured in the photo are Crafts, left, and Jeannie Snell, Country Square Quilters. Snell made 30 of the tiny quilts.
