AUBURN – A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Guildo O. Poliquin was held on Friday morning at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Harold Moreshead celebrating the Mass.

Before Mass, family and friends gathered at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home for prayers and greetings of condolence, then a funeral procession was formed to Sacred Heart Church. Following, the Rev. Moreshead greeting and blessing at the entrance of church, Gil’s son-in-law, Dan LaBrecque, carried Gil’s urn to the altar. Readings were by Gil’s granddaughters, Kelly LaBrecque and Lisa Dulac. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by grandson, Ben LaBrecque and great-grandson, Isaac Poliquin. At the conclusion of Mass, words of remembrance were shared by Gil’s daughter, Anne Paradis.

Following was a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery. The Rev. Moreshead recited committal prayers and then all were invited to a reception of fellowship at Rolandeau’s Restaurant in Auburn. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
