Accidents
Auburn

A car driven by Vanessa Ouellette, 19, of Auburn, and a truck driven by Justin R. Pomeroy, 20, of Auburn, collided while they were driving at the intersection of High and Academy streets at 2:20 p.m on Friday. Damage to Ouellete’s 1996 Lincoln was estimated at $1,800.

Daniel J. Fye, 32, of Brunswick, backed his truck into a parked truck owned by Steven T. Gregoire, 29, of Skowhegan, at 1:10 p.m. on Friday. Fye was in the process of making a U-turn and backed up the 2005 Ford, owned by Rentway Store, to give an uninvolved car room to get by. Gregoire was in his 2006 Ford pickup when the accident occurred. Damage to the pickup was estimated at $1,000.

Joshua Morris, 25, of Turner, lost control of his car and spun into a Central Maine Power utility pole on Riverside Drive near Jordan School Road at 9:10 a.m. on Friday. Damage to his 1999 Pontiac was estimated at $4,000.

Erika Castonguay, 22, of Leeds, lost control of her car on Pleasant Street near the Unitarian Church, at 2:15 a.m. on Friday. Her 2000 BMW left the road, went over a snowbank and down 100 feet of sidewalk before becoming lodged in another snowbank. Damage was estimated at $200.

David M. McCormack, 29, of Peru, lost control of his 1997 Jeep at 4 p.m. on Thursday while turning from Washington St. onto Rodman, and hit a second car, which left the scene before police arrived. Damage to McCormack’s car was estimated at $3,500.

A 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck operated by Igor Goroshin, 30, of Buckfield, and a 1995 Chevrolet pickup owned by David J. Welch, 18, of Livermore, collided at 2:50 p.m. Thursday in front of Jim’s Auto Sales on Route 4. Damage to Goroshin’s truck was estimated at $2,000. damage to Welch’s was estimated at $1,500.

Gina Gaetan, 20, of Auburn, lost control of her 1995 Ford during a snowstorm, skidded, and grazed a telephone pole on Summer Street at 3:20 p.m. Thursday. Damage to her car was estimated at $1,500.

A truck being driven by Dane Hughes, 45, of Lewiston, collided with a truck being driven by James Sliter, 42, of W. Newfield, at the intersection of Court Street and Longley Bridge at 3:15 p.m. Thursday. Damage to the 2001 Dodge pickup driven by Hughes, which was owned by Ray Thibodeau of Auburn, was estimated at $750. Damage to the 2006 5-axle semi Sliter was driving, owned by A. Duie Pyle, Inc. of West Chester, Pa., was estimated at $800.

Vehicles driven by Rita Lewis, 54, of Sabattus, Cammile Moulton, 21, of Buckfield, and Laura Mae Jarvis, 40, of Auburn, collided on Center Street in front of Play It Again Sports at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday. Damage to the Toyota, owned by Phillip Lewis, also of Sabattus, was estimated at $400. Damage to the Subaru, owned by Laurie Moulton, also of Buckfield, was estimated at $500.

Sherry Bowie, 21, of Auburn, lost control of her 2000 Chevrolet while on Riverside Drive at 3:15 Thursday, and struck a guardrail. Damage to her car was estimated at $8,000.
