Marie Osmond hit the deck. Isaiah Washington mouthed off. Ellen DeGeneres bawled her eyes out. And Sanjaya Malakar wowed us with his hair (but not his singing).

Yes, it was another bizarre year in television. Come along with us as we relive some of 2007’s most memorable moments and performers:

– CLASSIEST DEPARTURE: Jorga Fox’s Sara Sidle bids a melancholy farewell to “CSI” and leaves poor Grissom (William Peterson) without a soul mate.

– LEAST CLASSY DEPARTURE: Mouthy Isaiah Washington is booted from “Grey’s Anatomy” amid a firestorm of controversy.

– BEST ROCK-YOUR-WORLD FINALE: “Lost,” for its jaw-dropping, off-the-island flash-forward that left us wanting more, more, more. RUNNER-UP: “Damages.”

– MOST POLARIZING FINALE: The fade-to-black finish in “The Sopranos” that had us scratching our heads and humming that stupid Journey song for weeks. And we’re still wondering: Did Tony ever get to eat those onions rings or not?

– NUTTIEST FANS: The peanut-pushing devotees of “Jericho” whose passionate campaign brought the apocalyptic drama back from the dead.

– BEST COMEBACK: Dana Delany, who added much-needed spice to “Desperate Housewives” and had the best lemon meringue pie on the block.

– WORST COMEBACK: Britney Spears, whose awful train-wreck performance at the MTV Video Music Awards left us in a stunned stupor – until we recovered and watched it over and over online.

– BEST GEEK (in a season of geeks): Zachary Levi’s improbable super spy in “Chuck.”

– BEST BRITISH IMPORT (in a season of British imports): Damian Lewis, the offbeat cop who puts the life in “Life.”

– BEST TRANSGENDER CHARACTER (in a season of transgender characters): Candis Cayne, the love-starved mistress on “Dirty Sexy Money.”

– FUNNIEST NEW SITCOM: “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS) gave us some big laughs and a pair of hilarious roommates (Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons).

– BEST REASON TO AVOID REMAKES: “Bionic Woman” turned out to be a joyless, leaden update on the 1970s cult hit.

– WORST BAD-HAIR DAY: Sanjaya Malakar, whose poofy faux-hawk mane had him looking more ready for the Kentucky Derby than “American Idol.”

– BIGGEST TWEEN SENSATION (Female): Miley Cyrus had the best of both worlds with a hit show (“Hannah Montana”) and the hottest concert tour in all the land.

– BIGGEST TWEEN SENSATION (Male): Zac Efron turned on the sparkly eyed, dimple-faced charm and helped the Disney Channel’s “High School Musical 2” achieve the largest audience (17.2 million) in basic-cable history.

– FAVORITE COUPLE: Ned (Lee Pace) and Chuck (Anna Friel), the adorable, look-but-don’t-touch lovebirds on “Pushing Daisies.” RUNNER-UP: Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) on “The Office.”

– LEAST-FAVORITE COUPLE: The ceaselessly annoying George (T.R. Knight) and Izzie (Katherine Heigl) of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

– SCARIEST VILLAIN: Zachary Quinto’s brain-nabbing Sylar on “Heroes” had us shivering more times than we care to admit.

– SCARIEST FAINTING SPELL: Marie Osmond went from “Dancing With the Stars” to seeing stars.

– BEST PAY-CABLE NETWORK: Showtime showed us the quality with “Weeds,” “Dexter,” “The Tudors,” “Brotherhood” and more, and, in the process, proved it is no longer a poor stepchild to HBO.

– BEST CHICK FIGHT: Rosie O’Donnell vs. Elisabeth Hasselbeck on “The View.” RUNNER UP: Lauren vs. Heidi on “The Hills.”

– BIGGEST SCENE-STEALER: Kristin Chenoweth, the chirppy little dynamo who made “Pushing Daisies” even more enjoyable.

– BIGGEST CRYBABY: Ellen DeGeneres, who unleashed a flood of tears over a dog named Iggy and had many of us howling in disgust.

– FAVORITE REALITY STAR: Yau-Man Chan, the savvy and benevolent castaway from “Survivor: Fiji.” (He wuz robbed!)

– LEAST-FAVORITE REALITY STAR: Gordon Ramsay, the devilish, hot-headed chef on “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares.”

– MOST UNFORTUNATE CITY: Valencia. Even Jack Bauer couldn’t prevent it from getting nuked off the map in “24.”
