AUGUSTA – The 67th annual Maine Agricultural Trades Show will be held Tuesday through Thursday, Jan. 15 to 17, at the Augusta Civic Center. More than 5,000 are expected to attend the show, hosted by the Maine Department of Agriculture.

The show will feature dozens of lectures, demonstrations and meetings involving some 40 major agricultural organizations, committees and agencies, as well as more than 100 exhibits featuring the newest in agricultural products, equipment and services.

The main auditorium will feature a stage with periodic floral design demonstrations presented by the Maine State Florist’s Association.

Topics to be covered in presentations during the three-day event range from new farm marketing strategies to current agricultural issues, floral design and woodlot management.

Show hours will be 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Agriculture Commissioner Seth Bradstreet will present the annual commissioner’s service award to an individual who has been instrumental in supporting the agricultural industries in Maine at the annual commissioner’s luncheon on Tuesday.
