Snowshoe races

RUMFORD – Snowshoe races, sponsored by the Fraternal Showshoe Union of Maine and New Hampshire, will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, with registration at the Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club, 227 Waldo St., at 10:45 a.m. Races will start at noon at Hosmer Field.

Independent runners are welcome. Registration is $3 a person. Awards will be presented at the club at the finish of the races.

Class meeting

DIXFIELD – Men and women of the class of 1952 from Stephens High School of Rumford will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, for brunch at the Front Porch.
