Benefit concert

NORWAY – Tim Ouellette and Company, including Josiah Altshuler, Emil Altshuler, Peter Hill and Laurent Brundel, will perform a blend of lounge rock and experimental music at the Café Nomad, 450 Main St., at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4.

There will be a $5 cover charge. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Western Foothills Land Trust’s Roberts Farm Preserve project. For information about the preserve, visit www.wfltmaine.org. For information about the group, go to mossmountainproject.com.

Guild meeting

PARIS – Because of the holiday, the Western Mountain Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Haskell House beside the First Congregational Church, Paris. If the schools are closed for a storm, there will be no meeting.
