AUBURN – Daniel James Barry Sr., 64, of Auburn, passed away in his sleep at his home on Jan. 3.

He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 24, 1943, the son of John and Iona Barry.

He married Patricia Bragdon on Dec. 26, 1964, and they had just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and retired after serving 23 years in the U.S. Army from the 619th Transportation Unit in Auburn, where he was an E6 Staff Sergeant. Most currently, he was employed as a bus driver at the Auburn School Department and St. Dominic Regional High School.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia of Auburn; son, Daniel J. Barry Jr. and his wife, Patti, of Poland; daughters, Donna LeBlond and husband, Richard, of Auburn and Debra Johnston and husband, Daniel, of Leeds; twin sister, Nettie; sister, Barbara; brothers, John and Randall; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
