TURNER – Lewiston used a 29-1 run during the second and third quarters to pull away and beat Leavitt 60-32 score in boys’ basketball Friday.

The Blue Devils (5-3) outscored the Hornets (0-8) 12-1 to end the second stanza and began the third quarter by netting 17 unanswered points. Jarrid Palmer paced Lewiston with 15 points.

Doug Nash was the high scorer for Leavitt with 13 points.

Hyde 62, Rangeley 53

BATH – Junior guard Isaac Brower scored 14 points to lead Hyde to a 62-53 victory over Rangeley in boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Phoenix (3-1) stepped up the pace in the third quarter, outscoring the Lakers (5-3) 24-10 in the frame.

Brendon Vize scored 13 points, while David Duncan added another 12 for Hyde.

Senior forward Ben Bliss notched a game-high 15 points for the Lakers, while senior guard Ben Morton provided 11.

EL 60, Morse 38

BATH – Eric Prue and Mukhtar Shariff combined for 24 second-half points as Edward Little defeated Morse 60-38 in boys’ basketball Friday.

The Red Eddies (5-3) outscored the Shipbuilders (3-5) 45-15 to overcome an eight-point halftime deficit.

Prue finished with 21 points, with Shariff chipping in 13.

Morse was led by Alex Lee’s 12 points while Nate Cloutier scored 10.

Rockland 78, Oak Hill 55

ROCKLAND – Sophomore guard Chris Nolan netted 17 points as Rockland outpaced Oak Hill 78-55 in KVAC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Tigers (6-2) increased their lead in each of the four quarters. Five different players scored into double digits for Rockland.

Senior forward Bronson Drewry notched a game-high 21 points along with nine rebounds for the Raiders (2-6). Sophomore guard Tim Levesque recorded 13 points, while freshman guard Cam Morin added 10 points for Oak Hill.
