ROCKPORT – The wedding of Audrey Jo Ellis and Peter Frank Forastiere was held outdoors by the ocean at 4 p.m., Aug. 18, at the Samoset Resort. An outdoor cocktail reception was held followed by an indoor reception.

Mrs. Forastiere is the daughter of Kurt and Sarah Ellis of Lewiston. Mr. Forastiere is the son of Peter and Deborah Forastiere of East Longmeadow, Mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory strapless silk gown with scalloped lace on the bodice, long train and matching lace and floral pattern. She carried a bouquet of ivory and red roses and hydrangea with touches of green and green stems accented.

A sister of the bride, Natalie Ellis of Lewiston, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Marr of Maine, Larissa Chiulli of Rhode Island and Corey Simon and Meredith Courtemanche of Massachusetts, all friends of the bride.

Michael Forastiere of Massachusetts and Mathew Forastiere of Texas, brothers of the bridegroom, served as best men. Ushers were Greg Cizek, Matthew Zajdel and David Spielberg, all of Massachusetts, friends of the bridegroom.

Grandparents are Sylvia Forastiere of Massachusetts, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ellis of Maine.

A reception was held at the Samoset Resort, after which the couple spent ten days at the Dreams Resort in Los Cabos San Lucas, Mexico. They are residing in Westbrook.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of the University of New England in Portland in the RN program. She is employed in clinical research with Androscoggin Cardiology Associates for Dr. Robert Weiss of Auburn.

The bridegroom received a degree in communications from Western New England College in Springfield, Mass., in May. He is in a management position with the Panera Restaurant Company in the greater Portland area.
