Rumford – Colombe M. Bourgoine, 84, of Franklin Street, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 5, at Rumford Hospital.

She was born in Courcelles, Quebec, a daughter of Joseph and Alma Rose (Belanger) Coulombe.

She married Walter Bourgoine on June 7, 1944, who passed away on Oct. 17, 2002.

Colombe was employed for 20 years with Diamond National. She also was employed as a private duty housekeeper and will be remembered as a very loving, caring, and generous person.

She was a communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John Catholic Church.

Colombe loved playing beano, attending family functions, camping and communing with nature.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Walter Bourgoine; sisters, Juliette Coulombe and Cecile Coulombe; and brothers, Gerard, Fernando, Vito and Clement Coulombe.
