Lewiston – John Alvah Campbell, 65, of Raymond, passed away on Jan. 6, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a courageous battle with Olivopontocerebellar Degeneration.

He was born on April 22, 1942, the son of Myron and Eileen Parsons Campbell. He graduated from Edward Little High School and had been employed as a route salesman. He married Jane Tedford on Nov. 29, 1963. He was a member of the Raymond Lions Club. He enjoyed his family and being with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jane of Raymond; two sons, John Jr. and his wife, Aimee, of Bath and James and his wife, Tina, of Mechanic Falls; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Benjamin and Alannah; three brothers, Myron Campbell Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Hebron, Thomas Campbell and Betty Campbell of Hebron and Ronald Campbell and his wife, Rose, of Minot; two sisters, Gloria and her husband, Arthur Pelletier, of Rochester, N.H. and Jean of California; many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins; uncles and aunts.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Robert Campbell.
