An outstanding novel, this book grabs you and takes you to a different world. It deals with many hard things, and I have gotten a glimpse of what a tragedy such as Caitlin’s is like. I felt angry at her boyfriend for abusing her, and I wondered why Caitlin just couldn’t end it. Sad feelings rose inside me, as I read about the tragedy their family faced. This book made me feel like I was in Caitlin’s situation, and I hung onto every word. It also opened my eyes to the dangers of abuse and drugs. Sarah Dessen has crafted a story that triggers many emotions, and makes you think about what some people go through.
