South Paris – Frances H. Jordan, 90, formerly of Mechanic Falls, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Lewiston, on March 20, 1917, the daughter of Frank and Marion Harding Norris. She attended schools in Auburn and had been a homemaker all of her life. She married Merle W. “Shorty” Jordan. She was a member of the Colfax Rebekah Lodge 27, in Mechanic Falls and the Hosanna New Testament Church in Oxford. She enjoyed art with chalk. The Lord gave her a gift for writing beautiful poetry and short stories.
She is survived by son, Kenneth Jordan and his wife, Charlotte, of San Antonio, Texas; son, Wayne Jordan and his wife, Charlene, of Auburn; daughter Sally Fickett of Buckfield, daughter Nancy Hammond and her husband, Mike, of Minot; and son David Jordan and his wife, Yolanda, of Oxford; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband; a son, James; and a sister, Cora.
