LEWISTON – Angela Wyman and Mindy Gervais of the Collaborative School will speak at the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary’s noon meeting on Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Ramada Inn.

Wyman, vocational program coordinator, and Mindy Gervais, vocational coach, will introduce the Collaborative School and discuss the vocation programs in development.

In an effort to network and develop a collaborative relationship with the business community, their discussion will include mentoring needs, community service and vocational opportunities for their students.

The Collaborative School is a division of the nonprofit Maine Special Education/Mental Health Collaborative and provides day treatment services for children in grades kindergarten through 12.

In keeping with its mission, the administrative, clinical and teaching staff maintain a commitment to supporting schools in effectively serving their most complex students. Therefore, the school serves as a comprehensive educational and mental health treatment setting licensed by the Department of Education and Department of Health and Human Services.
