I enjoyed the article on stargazing by Maggie Gill-Austern, printed Jan. 6. She mentioned Thorncrag as a possible location for stargazing. Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary is closed at night. The sanctuary is open, free of charge, to the public from dawn to dusk every day of the year.

With all the snow this winter, the snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on the trails of Thorncrag are a wonderful outdoor recreation, and a magic way to enjoy the winter wonderland of a Maine forest.

All are welcome.
