With Jonathan Bernier on his way back into the lineup this weekend, Peter Delmas faces the chance that, in his draft year, he’ll only see about 30 percent of the games remaining this season.

National Hockey League scouts will get plenty of time with Delmas later this month, though.

Delmas is one of nine Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players selected to participate in this year’s Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Edmonton.

The 17-year-old is NHL draft-eligible this summer, and is the top-rated goalie in the QMJHL in Central Scouting’s mid-season rankings.

“This event has become one of the most anticipated on the hockey calendar every January,” Canadian Hockey League president David Branch said.

The 2008 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game is an annual showcase of the top draft eligible players from the CHL. The two-day event will feature the game, as well as a skills competition where players can show-off their abilities.

The rosters are selected by the 30 NHL general managers as well as the NHL’s Central Scouting department.
