GREENE – Russell Mitchell and Ava Mitchell (Greenham) of Long Beach, Miss., are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jessica Kay Mitchell, to Petty Officer Second Class Christopher B. Morin, who is currently serving with the U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 (Navy Seabees) in Gulfport, Miss. Petty Officer Morin is the son of Steven J. Morin of Greene and Jacqueline M. Nelson (Lamiette) of Meridian, Idaho, and the eldest grandson of Gloria B. Lamiette, formerly of Auburn, the late Gerard N. Lamiette Sr., Constance Morin of Sabattus and the late Larry Morin.

Miss Mitchell is a 2002 graduate of Long Beach High School and a 2007 graduate of Chris’s Beauty School in Gulfport, Miss., where she earned her cosmetology license. Miss Mitchell is employed as a full time stylist at the Sean Spencer Salon in Long Beach, Miss.

Petty Officer Morin is a 2003 graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner. He has served in Okinawa, Iraq and Kenya, and is presently stationed at his home base in Gulfport, Miss. He is working toward his bachelor’s degree in business management and electrical technology at the Coastline Community College in Gulfport.

A wedding date has been set for March 29 at the base chapel in Gulfport.
