AUBURN – Alfred Lucien “Fred” Sirois, 57, of Auburn, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 14, at the Hospice House with his loving family by his side after a brave fight with cancer.
He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 13, 1951, the son of Jeanette and Eduard Sirois. He attended Lewiston schools. In the service of the U.S Army, he served in the Vietnam War. He served his country proudly and was then employed for 28 loyal years at Bath Iron Works in Bath.
He enjoyed working with computers, fixing electronics and eating out. He will be remembered for his kindness and desire to help others. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his four children; one son, Brian Sirois of Auburn; three daughters, Stephanie of Mechanic Falls, Melissa and her husband, James Freeman, of Lewiston and Nicole and her companion, Jesse Erickson, of Fairfield; a sister, Yvonne and husband, Michael Wilcox, of Auburn; a brother, Mike Sirois, a sister-in-law, Carol Sirois of Lewiston; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis and Madison Freeman of Lewiston; many other family members and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Daniel, who also endured a brave fight with cancer.
