GRAY – Robert Clarence Henry, 79, died Dec. 17, 2007, at SeaSide Nursing Home.

He was born June 25, 1928. He was married to Daisy (Huff) Henry for 58 years and he loved her a lot. He was born in Burlington, Vt., the son of Minnie and John Henry.

He went to Heaven with his two sons. He only went through the eighth grade and helped raise his sister and brothers. He worked for the state highway department for 32 years.

He loved going fishing and hunting and camping in Oxford at the Dunn Camps.

He left behind his wife, Daisy; his five children, Roberta Henry-Lavalle of Gray, Mary-Ann (Henry) MacCormack of Mechanic Falls, Melvin Henry of Poland, Loretta (Henry) Brown of New Gloucester and Patricia (Henry) Perkins of Gray; his three sons-in-law, Mark Lavalle, Thomas MacCormack and Brad Perkins; his two sisters, Muriel Grover of Danville and Lois Chamblain of North Turner; three brothers, Roger Henry of Connecticut, Richard Henry of Oxford and John Henry of Florida; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; his nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren whom he helped raise, Bobby, John, Fran, Susan, Amanda and Vickie Henry, Charles and Ray Henderson, Michael Perkins and Harley, Maggie and Garth Kerr; and 13 great-grandchildren; friends, Thomas MacCormack, Brad Perkins and Bob Walker, who was like a brother to him, as he was in the nursing home. He will be missed by all the ones that knew him. His wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss him a lot.
