Eva Spaulding, center, celebrated her 90th birthday with family members Jan. 1. She was born on New Year’s Day, 1918, to Frank and Mary Fitzmorris in the Wills Block of Ridlonville, which is a section of Mexico. More than 20 family members gathered at Arthur Boivin’s home in Rumford. Boivin, handing her a glass of champagne, is her son-in-law, who was married to Lyanne. She died a few years ago. Spaulding is one of nine siblings, and the only one remaining. She had three children, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Pictured from the left are Boivin, great-granddaughter Nicole Baltrus, who is holding her son, and Spaulding’s great-great grandson, Wesley, 10-days-old, granddaughter, Kim Boivin, and Stanley Spaulding, Eva’s husband of 72 years. The couple still lives in Mexico.
