SOUTH PARIS – Florence E. Coolidge, 77, of South Paris, died Saturday, Jan. 12, at her home with her family by her side. She was able to remain at home with the help of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and her loving family and friends.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Aug. 14, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Florence Huffnagle Fowler. She attended schools in Philadelphia. She had been employed at Andrews Nursing Home, now known as Market Square Health Care Center, had her own housekeeping business and later retired from Norway Footwear.

She was a stock car race fan, attending races on Wednesdays and Saturdays to support her family, who raced. She enjoyed bingo, yard sales and family get-togethers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She married Robert Coolidge; even though divorced, she remained friendly with him and his family.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda A. Korhonen and husband, Michael, and their children, Shannon and Derrick; son, William A. Coolidge and wife, Patti, and their children Alicia and Chris; son, Edward J. Coolidge and wife, Audrey, and their children Jimmy and Jamie; daughter, Mary Ellen Cummings and husband, Roenell, and their children Tasha, Andrew and Chasity; daughter, Florence M. Coolidge and her children Dean, Chad and Constance; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and special friends, Lorraine, Mary, Little Mary and Sandy.

She was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Coolidge.
