AUBURN – Gerald C. Jordan, Jr., 73, son of Gerald C. Jordan Sr., and Margaret (Terrio) Jordan.
He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 9, 1934, and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, Jan. 13.
He received his education in the Lewiston schools and later did construction work and worked for the Auburn Water District for 12 years. Later he he did plumbing for L.W. Haskell and after earning his plumbers license he started his own business which was “Gerry’s Plumbing.” He had a thriving business and satisfied customers. He enjoyed his work and was very honest with his clients.
Gerry’s life was living for God and his church and showed it throughout his life. He belonged to the Auburn Church of the Nazarene for 43 years. During which time, he held positions as church treasurer, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, custodian and plumber. He always carried with him to church silver dollars to hand out to new Sunday school pupils and special speakers.
December 31, 1955, he married the love of his life, the former Marilyn Austin of Greene. Besides his wife, Marilyn of Buckfield, survivors include one daughter, Cindy Martin and son-in-law, Emmons, of Skellytown, Texas; three grandchildren, Justin Roach and his wife, Arminda, Jamie-Lee Roach and Kaylee Martin; one great-grandson, Brandon Roach; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Roach; three sisters, Lee Gaboriault of Northport, Fla., Beverly Stetson of Lisbon and Sheila Westland of Lisbon; one brother, Charles Jordan of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews
