The Jr. Maineiac Squirt White team stayed hot with two more wins in weekend action.
On Saturday, White they scored a hard fought 2-0 victory over Jr. Maineiac Black. Defenseman Steve Hammerton opened the scoring with a hard shot from the blue line set up with a nice face-off win by Liam Benson. Bobby Chabot closed the scoring with an empty-net goal in the last minute assisted by Corinne Laberge.
Nick Hawk earned his fifth shutout. Devin Dumont was outstanding in net for Black, making many key saves.
On Sunday, White cruised to a 7-1 win over Kennebec. Owen McCarthy and Benson scored two goals apiece.
Other goal-getters were Andrew Loisel, Laberge and Chabot. Assists went to Chabot, Chris Miller, Laberge, Loisel, Jacob Wall and Zach Guimond.
Riley Dowe was the lone scorer for Kennebec, with the assist going to Brandon Tardiff.
