AUGUSTA (AP) – The 2007 Boston Red Sox World Series trophy is headed Down East.
Maine Gov. John Baldacci says the trophy returns to Maine on Monday.
Fans can see it at the University of Maine’s Harold Alfond Arena in Orono between 1:30 and 4 p.m. The Jan. 21st event is free.
At 5:30 p.m., the trophy will be displayed at WZON’s annual Hot Stove Baseball Night at the Bangor Civic Center, but the event is sold-out. The trophy will also be on display for members of the Maine National Guard and families of soldiers earlier in the day.
The trophy was on display in Portland on Dec. 14th.
