LEWISTON – Starting out 1-over par after the first hole, the team of Eric Peterlein, Loren Cayer, Chuck Mollica and Matt Carroll put on a stellar display of golf to finish 11-under in the weekly, nine-hole handicap event held at Mulligan’s Indoor Golf.

Playing the tricky Legends course, Peterlein jumpstarted the onslaught with a picture-perfect 1-iron on his second shot to the tricky par-5 No. 4 hole.

He subsequently drained the six-footer for a three (net two).

Cayer showed Fred Funk-like accuracy off the tee and with the irons, and by parring the last three holes he came in with a team-best score of 41.

After scoring a nasty nine on the first hole, Carroll drained six putts in excess of 25 feet including birdies on the last three holes to post a well below-average 42. Coming off an extended layoff, Mollica was in midseason form and helped anchor this record-setting outing with his lights-out play.
