LIVERMORE FALLS – A 15-year-old male confessed Thursday to taking an envelope of money after breaking into a home on Green Street following a short police investigation.

The home was broken into Wednesday, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said. A total of $124 was taken and spent on marijuana and paraphernalia. No money was retrieved.

It appeared that a window was removed to gain entrance because the window was taken apart, Steward said.

The juvenile was turned over to the custody of his parents to await an appearance in juvenile court on the Class B burglary charge, Steward said.

Livermore Falls officer Cort Hladik investigated the incident, Steward said. Hladik recently completed his field training and this was the first case he handled on his own. Hladik will attend an 18-week training session at the police academy starting Tuesday, he said.
