AUBURN – Anita Y. (Bilodeau) St. Hilaire, 94, formerly of 179 Broad St., Auburn, died Saturday morning, Jan. 19, at Bolster Heights Nursing Home where she had resided for the past three years.
She was born in Lewiston on July 11, 1913, the daughter of Fredolin and Victoria (Gagne) Bilodeau.
She married Arthur St. Hilaire and they made their home in Bridgeport, Conn., for many years. He died in July of 1972. She had just recently moved to Auburn three years ago.
She is survived by six sisters, Florence Christian and her husband, Ralph, of California, Germaine Dube of Plainville, Conn., Fedora Lavertu of West Warwick, R.I., Jeanne Cloutier of Tigaro, Ore., Cecile Rousseau and her husband, Alfred, of Windsor Locks, Conn., and Helen Ashby and her husband, Howard, of Auburn; her brother, Armand Truchon and his wife, Stella, of Sabattus; her sisters-in-law, Joan Truchon and Mariel St. Hilaire, both of Lewiston; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her friend Bob-Janette Walentowicz of Brdgeport, Conn.; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Romeo Truchon.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bolster Heights for the excellent loving care that was given to Anita during her stay, and also a very special thank you to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
