RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence Fred McKenna of Rumford was celebrated Saturday at St. Athanasius-St. Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant.

Organist was Mark Belanger and altar assistant was Bernard Porior.

Readings were given by Arita Zitoli.

Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Ave Maria” and “On Eagle’s Wings.”

Taps was also played by Mark Belanger at the conclusion of the funeral mass.

Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.

A reception followed the services in the church hall at St. Athanasius-St. John Church.

Arrangements were under the care of Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
