CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – The re-counting of Democratic ballots cast in New Hampshire’s presidential primary has turned up more human errors.

A re-count of ballots cast in Nashua’s Ward 5 show that Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Joe Biden received a total of 110 votes less than originally reported because of human error.

The problem involved ballots on which voters wrote in names for vice president. A machine counts the presidential votes for those ballots then sets them aside so the write-ins can be tallied by hand. Election officials didn’t realize that the presidential votes already were counted so they counted them twice.

The re-count was requested by Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who received less than 2 percent of the vote. He said he is suspicious of the results although he doesn’t expect a re-count to change his vote count much.
