Lewiston – Irene M. Russell, 69, of Rosedale Steet, Lewiston, died Friday, Jan. 18, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston on July 20, 1938, the daughter of the late Romeo and Yvonne (Carrier) Caron.

She attended Lewiston Schools and went on to work at Knapp Shoe for many years, then she worked at Geiger Bros. for the last 12 years of her working career.

She enjoyed transferring VHS Tapes to DVD’s, going on trips with cousin Toni and going out to eat.

She was also a devoted Elvis fan.

She is survived by her son, Paul H. Russell of Lewiston; her little guy, Adam Mathieu; and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Durward, in 2007; and her brother, Paul H. Caro, also in 2007.
