Dear Sun Spots: I would like to purchase SA8 liquid laundry detergent. It can be obtained by those working on commission for these products. I am hoping there are dealers in this area. Please contact the column with any information on this product. Thank you. – S.R., Turner.

Dear Sun Spots: Would anyone have some Bernat yarn? I’m looking for natural, color No. 07414-008. Do you know some place that might carry it? Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots checked in with Jo-Ann Fabrics & Craft, 732 Center St., Auburn, 783-1066, and was told it carries another natural blend, although with a different number. You might consider checking it out to see if it might not work for your project. Jo-Ann’s is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday

In the meantime, Sun Spots wonders if you’ve checked with Bernat to see if they still carry that particular lot? You can reach their head offices at 320 Livingstone Avenue South, Listowel, Ontario, Canada N4W 3H3, 1-888-368-8401.

Dear Sun Spots: Does anyone know where I might purchase a Christmas stocking needlepoint kit?

Also, in 2006 I crocheted hats and scarves and donated them to the Hope Haven Gospel Mission in Lewiston. Last year I donated 65 hats and 13 scarves to the Salvation Army.

I am out of 4-ply knitting worsted-type yarn and would like whatever one might be able to spare. I am willing to arrange pickup in the Norway-Paris area, and would be pleased to have suggestions where these items might most be needed. I may be reached at 674-2114. – Sylvia McCann, No Town.

Answer: Regarding your first item, Sun Spots wonders if you’ve checked in with any craft store? Among the possibilities are Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts noted above, Herrschners, Inc., 2800 Hoover Road, Steven’s Point, WI 54492-0001, toll-free 1-800-441-0838, www.herrschners.com. Hopefully these will at least get you started.
