Arrest

• James Richmond, 65, of Main Street, Mexico, operating under the influence, at 2:30 a.m., Jan. 11. He was released on bail from the Mexico Police Department and is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on March 4.

Accidents

• Vehicles driven by Meghan L. Chapdelaine, 23, of Dixfield, and John R. Gallant, 81, of Porter Avenue, Rumford, collided at 1:20 p.m., Jan. 15, on Railroad Street, Rumford. Chapdelaine’s 2008 Pontiac sustained $5,000 damage. Gallant’s 2008 four-door Subaru sustained $5,000 damage.

• A deer was killed at 7:17 p.m., Jan. 15, on Route 2 when it was hit by a 1994 Ford pickup truck driven by Jacob Fortin, 16, of Dixfield. The truck sustained $800 damage.

Vandalism

• A Roxbury Road resident reported at 1:51 p.m., Jan. 12, that someone destroyed a rear window in her Ford Explorer sometime the night before. The estimated $300 damage is believed to have been caused by a pellet gun.
