LEWISTON – Franklin D. Pierce, 65, of Oxford, died Saturday, Jan. 19, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 22, 1942, to Floreston and Wilma (Kimball) Pierce. He was a graduate of West Paris High School. He had worked for many years as a self-employed barber.

He is survived by three brothers, Myron Pierce of South Paris, Maurice “Bud” Pierce of Brewer and Floreston Pierce Jr. and companion, Nancy Mahoney, of Woolwich; four sisters, Alice Keedy of Gorham, Nina Hayes and husband, Warren, of Shelbourne, N.H., Maxine and husband, Hugh Roak, of North Waterford and Geraldine and husband, James DeShon of South Paris: companion, Eleanor Smith, of Oxford; and an adopted son, David.
