AUBURN – Donald E. Thibodeau, 61, a resident of 133 Spring St., Auburn, died peacefully early Sunday, Jan. 20, at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born in Portland, Nov. 18, 1946, the son of Fred and Helen (Tinsman) Thibodeau. He was educated in Westbrook schools, and was a 1962 graduate of Westbrook High School. He became employed as a professional driver for Portland Transit, and then Town Taxi.
He was also a traditional country music singer with his brother, Bobby as “The Thibodeau Brothers” winning several awards, and also was a member of the Downeast Country Music Association, which also served as Don and Isabell’s extended family.
Survivors include his companion, Isabell Fisher of Auburn; three sons, Donnie Jr. and Peter Thibodeau, both of Portland, as well as Eric Thibodeau of Saco; four daughters, Christina Thibodeau of Portland, Elizabeth Hayward of Westbrook, Lisa Marie and Katrina Lynn Thibodeau, both of Bangor; three brothers, Frederick of Saco, Raymond of Auburn and Robert of South Paris; one sister, Gloria Jean Brooks of Arizona; and six grandchildren.
