Bravo, Sun Journal, for the “Doughnuts and Drugs” story (Jan. 20). It just proves what doctors and the medical and pharmaceutical industries will do for profit. To me, it is insanely criminal, corrupt and immoral, right across the board.

Beyond the sales reps are the billions of dollars in ads on television and magazines that offer their toxic waste to the ignorance of our brainwashed public. Profits for pharmaceutical companies are billions per year and growing.

Doctors and the medical industries, as well as the insurance companies, should cease and desist using health and health care in their language. Their paradigm is false and misleading.

Their practices should be referred to as “managed sick care.”
