LEWISTON – Scott Jeffrey Ryder, 51, of Sandy Lane, Livermore Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Rumford, on Jan. 11, 1957, son of Paul and Eadie (Estes) Ryder. He was educated in Dixfield and Lewiston, graduating from Lewiston High in 1976. He played high school football and basketball and was an avid sports fan.

Scotty loved fishing and camping and being outdoors, especially on Worthley Pond and spending time with family and friends. On July 4, 1990, he married Lucinda Hebert and they had four children. He loved spending time with his children, Marcus, Jeffrey, Lindsey and stepson, “Tiger,” as they were an important part of his life. Their love for him was given through good and bad times. He loved animals and had recently adopted two cats from the animal shelter.

He had traveled across the country as a journeyman iron worker. His favorite song was “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide” by ZZ Top. His proudest accomplishment is to have worked on the Golden Gate Bridge.

He will always be remembered for his smile, sense of humor and being a loving and caring person. Our most loving tribute to him is to love each other unconditionally.

He leaves behind his mother, Eadie Ryder; his sisters, Paula Reid and Rhonda Richardson; brother, Gregory Ryder; his sons, Marcus Ryder and Jeffrey Ryder; daughter, Lindsey Ryder; and stepson, Tiger Hebert.

He was predeceased by his father, Paul Ryder; and his infant son, Paul Jesse Ryder.
