MEXICO – A Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara Ann Roach was celebrated Monday at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. The altar angel was great-grandson Nathaniel Legere. Wayne Petrie was the organist. Music selections were “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “The Water is Wide,” “What a Wonderful World” and “The Rose”; which were done by Elaine Michaud before Mass. As the family entered in with Barbara, “Turn, Turn, Turn” was done; during communion, granddaughter Stephanie Lafavor sang “Amazing Grace.” After communion Elaine sang “Can I Have This Dance,” and the recessional music was “How Great Thou Art” sung by Elaine. The eulogy was given by her son Donald Roach and granddaughter Mary Roach. Readings were done by granddaughter Karen Roach and grandson Shane Clark. Pallbearers were Micah Roach, Shane Clark, Monica Roach, Mary Roach, Joe Roach, Katie Chambers, Mike Legere and Ron Filiault. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Relatives and friends may pay tribute to Barbara at www.mem.com. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
