AUGUSTA (AP) – A former high school assistant principal awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to sexual abuse of a minor.

Sixty-year-old Frank “Skip” Gleason of Anson faces up to 364 days in jail after entering his plea on Tuesday in Kennebec County Superior Court.

Before his arrest last month, Gleason was the assistant principal at Carrabec High School and had worked in the school district for more than 20 years. The high school serves the towns of Anson, North Anson, Embden, New Portland and Solon, and has fewer than 300 students.

He was charged with hugging, kissing and fondling a 15-year-old boy during a ride home after a basketball game.
