NORWAY – Robert Hand, EMT-Paramedic, director of PACE Paramedic Service, was recently appointed to the Maine Emergency Medical Service board by Gov. John Baldacci. Hand will serve a three-year term.

Originally from the area, Hand graduated from Telstar Regional High School, and held EMS positions with Bethel and Tri-Town prior to moving to Portland.

Hand has served as director of PACE since 2006. Prior to that, he was the assistant vice president of operations at North East Mobile Health Services in Portland, focusing on handling ambulance calls as well as administrative duties.
